SWU Students

Welcome, Southern Wesleyan University Students!

Is caring for vulnerable children and families a part of your personal, professional or ministry calling?

Would you like to learn more about how to effectively meet their needs?

We believe God has created you for such a time as this, and we want to help equip you for the future. With that in mind, we have created two special opportunities for you, as a student at Southern Wesleyan University, for 2022!

Step 1: Take the Summer 2022 Orphan & Vulnerable Children Essentials Online Course:

No matter your major, this course will equip you with insight and best practices for transforming the lives of vulnerable children in your context.

Successfully completing the course and meeting our requirements will earn you a grant for FULL reimbursement of the $99 tuition (due during course registration in May) and will qualify you for step 2.

More information and grant application (Note: No money is due at this time. Please complete the grant application ASAP using your personal e-mail address, so we can contact you with next steps after the semester concludes.)

If everyone had the opportunity to go through the OVC Essentials course, it could truly change the dynamic of the universal Church.

I learned the importance of being others-focused and how you can help impact the community around you for good. I learned that it’s time to stand up and make a change in our communities, in our countries and around the world. Through this course God grabbed my attention most by showing me that there is still a lot of Kingdom work to be done.

CAFO2021 was a powerful time of reflection for myself and the Yellow Door House. I was reminded of the reasons why we enter into relationships with families and children in order to love like Jesus.

It was so impactful to be around like-minded individuals who are doing the work of serving vulnerable children, getting to hear their unique ideas and what has worked in their context.
