CAFO Summit Info & Grants

More than ever the Church needs to stand up in new ways for the most vulnerable among us. Join us at CAFO2025, October 1-3 in Houston, Texas.

Hephzibah62:4 has chosen the Christian Alliance For Orphans (CAFO) Summit as an annual gathering place for Wesleyan pastors, church staff, lay leaders, caregivers/parents, students and advocates to be inspired, encouraged and gain insight into best practices in caring for vulnerable children.

Our on-site Hephzibah62:4 Connection Dinner provides a unique opportunity for Wesleyans in attendance to gather and celebrate what God is doing through our Hephzibah62:4 Partner Churches.

STEP 1: Do you qualify for a grant?

HEPHZIBAH62:4 PARTNER CHURCHES: This year we are offering up to two, $600 one-time/person grants per partner church, to help make attendance possible. Preapproval is required. Contact us for more details.

Other CAFO2025 Grants: If you are a pastor or key volunteer in a Wesleyan church with a special interest in ministry to vulnerable children and families, you may qualify for a grant up to reimburse your CAFO2025 registration fee only. This is for non-Hephzibah62:4 Partner church leaders and attendees. Preapproval is required. Contact us for more details.

STEP 2: Register for CAFO2025.

STEP 3: RSVP for the Hephzibah62:4 Connection Dinner. This FREE dinner will be held on-site at CAFO2025 on Wednesday, October 1, during the conference dinner break, and is open to those who are part of The Wesleyan Church in the U.S. and Canada.

STEP 4: Plan your trip. You are responsible for your own travel arrangements. However, we love to use this opportunity to grow in community and help minimize trip expenses. We will have a suggested hotel and there may be opportunities to share hotel rooms and ground transportation with other Hephzibah62:4 attendees, so be sure to ask if you’re interested.

STEP 5: Complete a brief survey about your conference experience. We will email this to you after the conference.

STEP 6: Submit an expense report along with your receipts for reimbursement. You can find the reimbursement process along with our expense report template here.

My wife Brook and I were able to attend the CAFO Summit for the first time and it was a life changing experience for both of us.

We went knowing that we wanted to do more as a family and as community in the life of the vulnerable but weren’t sure where to start. We walked away with resources, tools, and connections to give us the foundation needed to begin our journey and are excited to see where it leads.

– Pastor Blake

I remember thinking when we decided to attend CAFO, “This would be a great opportunity to learn how to care for vulnerable children as it relates to the ministry my wife feels called to lead.” I also remember thinking, “This would be a great place to meet new people, and make connections that would benefit said ministry.” What happened, as it always does, God laughed at my plans then showed me his plan. We learned some things, yes! We made some connections, yes! But more than that, God completely broke my heart for the orphans of our world.

I believe if we love what God loves, and want what he wants, then attending a CAFO conference will help us do this, and do it well.

– Pastor Michael, Mosaic Church of Detroit

CAFO Summit was a powerful time of reflection for myself and the Yellow Door House. I was reminded of the reasons why we enter into relationships with families and children in order to love like Jesus.

It was so impactful to be around like-minded individuals who are doing the work of serving vulnerable children, getting to hear their unique ideas and what has worked in their context.
